Elegant scarf pin, solid sterling silver 925 marked and tested with 10k gold accents, handmade in Ireland and hallmarked at the Assay Office in Dublin Castle. Modeled on the original Tara Brooch. Discovered in 1850, dating back to 700AD, recognized as a significant work of early Christian Irish art. Measures approx. 1.9 inch x 1.2 inch, and weighs 7.6 grams. Penannular Brooch, Celtic knot style, two-tone, with multiple hallmarks, Irish Assay Office, Dublin Town mark, and JPK.
