Ernest Muehlmatt hand-carved and painted Dark Eyed Junco bird, signed. Outstanding carving by a renowned master carver. This vintage 1970s piece features a Dark Eyed Junco mounted on a driftwood log. Mr. Muehlmatt's work is widely recognized and featured in multiple museums. Signed on the bottom. This is one of his earlier works.
The bird measures 3.5" x 3" and is mounted to a wood piece measuring 9". No chips or damage. Overall an outstanding piece. A must-have for any collection!
