Issued in May of 2002 in memoriam of the 9/11 tragedies in 2001. Proceeds were donated to one of 4 different charities that collectors could choose from.
Red Wing version, limited to 500 pieces. The Blue Wing version is limited to 1,500 pieces.
Liberty Promotions is a diecast company that produces what is referred to as "Code 3" buses. Simply put, Code 3 is a product that is NOT produced in any way by Mattel. Liberty has been very prolific in issuing the VW Bus.
