MANCIOLI Large Italian Pottery Horse Sculpture 1960's MCM, HTF/RARE*
This stunning, eye-catching and robust horse sculpture with bright green and black incised flowers and vines was created by Mancioli for Raymor, Florence in the 1960's. Skillfully crafted and hand-painted with an overall glossy white background to the whimsical floral pattern.
It is in overall great condition given its age, however, there is a chip at the bottom of one hoof and a tiny circular mark on one ear tip. The tiny imperfections hardly take away from the details of proportion, large feet, short tail, wide rump, and soft eyes. A portion of the original tag is attached to the underbelly indicating handmade in Italy.
It would make a beautiful entry way, coffee table, bookshelf or office piece for any collector of Italian pottery or horse lover. Please see all the included photos for dimensions and details.
