This fabulous, gold-plated, Memento Mori piece measures 2" x 1 5/8" x 3/8" deep with a secure T-Hinge and C-Clasp Closure that helps to date this piece to the Civil War Era. Front of brooch has a clean-shaven male figure with a white collared shirt and darker dress jacket. Reverse shows a bearded male figure with white shirt, black ascot, vest, and darker dress jacket.
Exceptionally Fine Condition. No chips, fogging, or scratches on glass. Two tiny dimples on back of frame. Sold as-is.
