Imagine facing the night with nowhere to go. At SacredHand Canada, we believe that no woman should be left alone on the streets to sleep. In direct response to the affordable housing crisis in Peel Region, we proudly operate the Stay the Night Drop-In Program — a safe overnight haven for women aged 16 and older experiencing homelessness.
Open daily from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, this program offers 40 beds, warm meals, essential toiletries, showers, laundry facilities, snacks, Wi-Fi, and a compassionate environment that prioritizes dignity and respect.
Our mission is simple but powerful: “No homeless woman should be left alone on the road to sleep.”
The Stay the Night Drop-in Program provides:
- Clean Beds: Offering 40 beds daily, each equipped with comfortable blankets, pillows, and clean sheets, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
- Dinner and Breakfast Services: Nourishing meals to ensure that individuals have a satisfying dinner and a wholesome breakfast.
- Snack Corner: Free emergency snacks available throughout the night, providing comfort and sustenance.
- Shower Facilities: Access to clean and safe shower facilities, promoting hygiene and well-being.
- Laundry Services: Equipped with laundry facilities, ensuring individuals can maintain clean clothes and personal belongings.
- Washrooms: Clean and accessible washrooms for personal hygiene needs.
- Wi-Fi Access: Providing free Wi-Fi access, enabling individuals to stay connected and access online resources.
